The Martial Arts are about finding peace, not violence. We teach five major concepts that are more important than any punch, kick, or throw that any student will learn in our dojo: Honor, Respect, Confidence, Control, and Power. We believe that through these concepts we can develop stronger bodies and minds, transcending the need or desire for violence.
At the School of Hard Knocks Martial Arts Academy, we teach a blend of Traditional and Modern Martial Arts developed and tested through decades of training and practice rather than "cookie-cutter" Martial Arts. We also keep our classes small and tailored to the needs and abilities of each individual student.
We are the oldest Martial Arts school in the Searcy / White County area still in operation, located near the intersection of Highways 367 and 157 in Judsonia, conveniently between Searcy and Bald Knob, pursuing the family business from when Master Gray's parents took over what was then also one of the oldest Martial Arts Schools back in the late 1980s.
Welcome former students from all styles as well as fresh beginners. Our staff consists of experienced instructors from varied styles and backgrounds, with high enough ranks to train and promote even seasoned veterans of the Arts.
We specialize in working with "at-risk" children, and have had great success in aiding them to overcome the problems that come along with anger issues, ADD/ADHD, Bi-Polar Disorder, and even Autism.
